CSP is telling us that starting may 11th customer will have a 5 dollar fee
tacked on if they don't use the paystation or use a self service type
method.

people are going to be PISSED.

You're just now learning about this? In our market, it's March 11, and we've trained most people to use the paystation at this point.

Yeah we knew about this back in January. There always was supposed to be fee for paying at the counter, we have just always left it off.

I will be happy to send the bill pays to you.

I will love this if they actually put that into effect in the stores. The pay station at the store I transfered to does not have a working pay station so we have to take all the payments. OMG it sucks! We take so many payments here in an isolated store so we just have to deal with the same people everyfreaking month! Since the payment station has been down for soooooo long the customers are not trained anymore to use it. We are next on the list though to get a pay station. CANT WAIT! I am not a cashier I am a sales person.

according to the thing on CSP, if the payment station is down
we can waive the fee. If the payment station is up there will be a free
imposed.

If we can waive the fee my reps will be waiving it.

I'm not about to let att take more opportunities/money away from my reps.

When you waive the fee, there is a pop-up screen that requires you to enter the reason why the fee is waived in a drop-down box. Too many waivers of Payment Admin Fees at any single location will definitely waive a large "Red" flag so feel free to do so. The pmt system will waive the fee automatically under certain circumstances. The new policy took effect in the SE region on March 24.

I don't know if you know this or not, but if they pay at a rep's station, and are buying an accessory, the fee is waived.

I've seen a list quite long of ways around the admin fee. Half the time in our store, they want to know why their bill is so high, and we have to pull up their account anyways. Sometimes you can get features or rate plan changes out of it.

Good. this will get rid of the lines of customers that just want to pay their bill...

There are so many methods to make a pmt without the Admin fee which include: US postal mail, *PAY, dial 611 and follow self-service prompts for pmt, pmt stations at local stores, text to pay, OLAM, future dated pmt through cust service or online, autopay and scheduled pmt through your bank/financial institution.

There is no excuse for anybody to claim they don't have options to avoid the fee. It comes down to the fact that it does cost money to have online reps processing pmts when they can instead assist customers with billing, technical, device questions instead and lower wait times for customers to reach those reps.

Every credit card company that I have dealt with, my local utility (water/electric) company, and I suspect virtually all cell companies (if not now, very soon) to make a pmt over the phone with a live operator so I don't understand why so many people think it is unfair.

It's definitely a double-edged sword. It will weed out people that consistently pay their bill when they have other methods, but on the flip side, I make a TON of feature sales from bill pay customers.

While I know you can get around the fee if they end up changing a feature, you have to get the customer to your desk to even check, and what if they DON'T need anything changed? You kind of put yourself in a situation.

We have 2 paystations and people still want to pay me.. when I say $5, I'm sure they will go over there....

Posted by: jbzcar

People will not be pissed. We charged $5 to pay any cell bills at my agent location and not a single person batted an eye.

If you don't have a paystation, there will be no fee. In fact, most of my features are because of bill pays, so I have no problem doing it.

We don't have a pay station in our store :-( and the next closest store is over 2 hours away... Keep the payments comming blahhhhh
