Q9 Network PIN?

I just bought a Q9 on eBay, I have an old AT&T (Blue/Pre-Cingular) SIM from my SMT5600. (I have no data and no real need for it, and I have a really cheap grandfathered family voice plan.) Anyhow, I am getting this message:

This phone can only be used with SIMs from specific networks. Contact your customer service center for the unlock code, or insert a SIM from a valid network.

Then there is a box to input a code. So, question is, do I get the device unlocked, call? Go by a store? Do not want to add data or tinker with my plan.

its locked to the new att. your gonna have unlock it to make it work. try ebay for a soultion or imei unlocker
