I have read on a lot of websites that the dash has a bad history of cracking screens for no reason. People say that it cracks while they are on the phone. Is this a heat problem or something. Tmobile is sending me one to replace my pearl that just is horrid. I dont know if this phone is going to be more of a problem that what the pearl was. Anyone have problems with the screen?

I accidentally sat on my Dash this past Saturday and broke the interior LCD. I got the phone off of ebay and it was out of warranty. I bought another LCD off of ebay for about $40. It should arrive sometime next week and I plan to replace the screen myself.

I never had a problem with the screen on my Dash, I kept it in my pocket most times and beat it up pretty bad.
The only reason it is retired is the lack of memory.

I've been using the S620 for ~6 months and it's been good to me. it's highly unlikley that a screen breaks from heat - but I'm not scientist either.

Usually breaks from someone putting pressure on it by sitting on it or banging it against something while in their pocket.

i have a ATT Tilt and my screen cracked for no damn reason whateoever. I was using it, it was fine. I put it in my pocket like i always do, 20 min later I took it out and the screen was cracked. I saw on XDA Developers that many other people have experienced the same. They did not do anything to damage the phone, the screen just cracked.
