You have to call tmo and have them remove the phone from his account.
Call 611 and say sidekick.

lol ... but no ... it doesn't matter which sidekick you switch it to ... if the IMEI is attach to an account you'll still need to call in the sidekick dept and detach it from there in order to use your acct under the specific sidekick

Yes, the phone has a sexual preference. I learn something new everyday lol. The SK is the only phone that prevent SIM swapping due to IMEI.
