my mother is now useing her Moto Krzr K1m (alltel) as her modem now. she is getting 950k down and 256 up. much better than the hughes net she was getting before. her only problem is that the phone goes dormant after a very short period of time and then she has to restart the phone to get it out of dormant mode. does anyone know how to prevent it from doing that?

we have the unlimited data plan so no biggie on the amount of data transfered.

Does she have phone as modem added onto here plan? If not she may be in for a huge bill one day soon.

The computer might not be terminating the DUN connection properly. Are you right-clicking the "Connected" icon in the lower-right-hand corner of the screen, and clicking "Disconnect"?

"clicking disconnect"???? umm im wanting it to NOT disconnect and go dormant. i think u have my whole problem backwards.?
