8525 For Texting, Memos, Hot Buttons

I am a current Treo 650 user, and off/on I have considered getting a second-hand AT&T 8525 as an upgrade, especially since the web browsers seem better and it has 3G speeds. I have already downloaded the Windows Mobile 6 update.

My main thing is, I do text a lot and love how the Treo 650 (a) gives a "hot button" that brings up the application immediately, no having to do the "Start>Messaging>Text>New" path or whatever, also (b) it shows texts as a "chat log." That is, within the inbox, any text messages to-from a certain person all appear in one window, sort of like how instant messaging works, as opposed to having 100 inbox messages from the same person to sort through in 1 long scrolling inbox listing. It's really convenient.

How does the 8525 handle this task? Also, can you assign, say, opening a "memo" (that's what Palm calls them) with a hot button? I do that all the time with my Treo, too.

Just curious about these things, because the 8525 sure does look slick, it's just that those particular things are things about my Treo that work great and make life easier. I also love that you can go into vibrate mode by merely sliding a switch, just like switching off the lights in the basement--very easy, totally sensible.
