4.3.097 is the latest os for the pearl. In mass storage mode it takes 15 to 20 minutes to transfer, using a card reader it takes about 5 minutes. I don't have any full movies on right now, but a full episode of the Sopranos is 106.4 Meg. If you try with the roxio media manager, it will take an hour and probably crash your pc a couple times. ![]() |

Plenty of room for a 2 or more large movie files + my music and pics. Anyway, I recommend the supplied software. |

I converted another movie last night and timed it, took exactly a half-hour. This file was much smaller than the first, at 900 MB, but I was transferring it directly from a disc I had it burned on. So I imagine that slowed the process a little. I pretty much sold my sister on the Curve once she saw these movies playing fullscreen on mine...it looked and sounded great! |

Did anyone buy it from a non-carrier, like ebay, amazon or pacific mall? :P |

![]() I now have Transformers, Bourne Ultimatum, The Village, and both dvd's of the comedian Brian Regan on my card. It's funny, I actually can't wait until I'm stuck at an airport or something, haha. (I say that now) What I'm curious about is the effects of video playback on battery power. Transformers is a 2Hr+ long movie, what would the charge be like afterwards? I'll do a search... EDIT: Just as a note, looking at your original post... I didn't convert these directly from DVDs. These are movies I had ripped before using MactheRipper and then converted to an mp4 using HandBrake. You can choose how big you want the final mp4 file to be, that's why Transformers was 2.13 Gigs, I wanted it high quality. |

But for future movies I'll probably make a much smaller version and make a comparison.|

Does this happen to you? Also, in your fullscreen, is it actually fullscreen or is there a 3-4mm black border around the video?[/I]

, so much more to do in customizing my Curve.
). They actually said "try taking out the battery and putting it back in to reset the bb". They also told me to call RIM directly.|

I use super. Best size is 320X240. I like 3gp format. You need to upgrade to the latest OS for full screen to work. GL |
