Help: P990i can't detect ANY bluetooth headsets??

When I try to scan for bluetooth devices, it can find my other phones just fine, but completely fails to detect any bluetooth headsets that are on and less than a foot away from it.

Why is this? Is the P990i known not to be able to pair with bluetooth headsets at all? I have both the Nokia BH-900 and the BlueAnt Z9 and it can't even tell that they're in the room, let alone attempt to pair with them.

Anyone know anything about this? Thanks...

try a software update for your phone .... I use a Motorola h300 headset and it works just fine, so did several parrot car systems and some nokia headsets that I tested in a shop. The p990 is very good with bluetooth headsets ... work fine up to 10 - 11 m and after 11 m there's a small hissing sound, but it doesn't inconvenience your conversation very much

are you sure they are on pairing mode?

most headsets require a sequence of button presses to clear what they were paired to before.
