Where are the EVDO guides?

I've been trying to get EVDO working on my V3c Razr for months, and I live in an EVDO-enabled area (Santa Fe/ABQ), but still no dice. I've tried doing it via QPST, which didn't work because the stupid settings keep resetting back. I've tried editing the NVM files, which doesn't work because the data I'm supposed to put into it is already set or not there at all, and the only guide for that I could find was for the Q. I've tried setting it via the test menu, and all it does is go into power save mode until I make a phone call, which causes the 1x to appear for the duration of the call. Now, after messing around in the Field Test Menu again, I set the HDR Hybrid off, and the mode to HDR. I still get 1x, but when I send MMS or use the browser, it seems a lot faster. Maybe I'm just imagining it. Anyway, can someone point me in the right direction? I've been asking around about this forever, but so far no one can confirm whether it's because I'm just not getting the EVDO signal, or if it's my authentication settings. I'm really frustrated now.

Ok, why am I being ignored again? This is a legitimate question and every time I bring it up in other threads, no one answers me. And still, I get no help. Seriously, this is not cool. I have to use my phone just to get online and it's frustratingly slow, taking me 45 minutes just to check my email. I would really appreciate some help with this.

the v3c is on verizon and i know for a fact that it is setup to use the evdo right out the box. so either 1. you are not in the evdo area that you think you are or 2. you screwed with the settings and changed something you shouldnt have

The V3c I have is from Cricket. I've used all the different firmwares available for this phone, including Verizon, VIVO, Telus, Bell, Alltell, and MetroPCS, and the generic, and I have not had any luck getting EvDo to work. My problem is not having changed some settings I shouldn't have, but not knowing what settings to change in the first place.

what carrier are you using it on? cricket? since most networks use the evdo for data it may only work if your are using the carriers software

It's on Cricket. I've used Cricket's software, but it doesn't seem to work, either. As far as I know, all I needed to do was load the right PRL on to it, and it works, but it's still running on 1x. I uploaded generic monsters for both the V3c and the V3m, and I asked if anyone had EvDo working with those, and no answer.

if u loaded verizons latest PRL u will have evdo. i did on my uscellular phone and it says ev on my phone

What I'm saying is that I've HAD the 1050 PRL on my phone for two months, and I still don't get EvDo. What I'm looking for is a way to enable it otherwise.
