hey guys. i just bought a palm treo 600 off my friend. he got it in europe and its unlocked...

ive already used it and everything seems fine. i just dont know how to change the display language

I've never used a 600 before, but if it's like most other Palm Treos you'll have to hard reset the device. Then you'll be presented with language selection.

Yeah, you will have to hard reset it. That way, all of the language specific files get loaded from the ROM. To hard reset the device, do the following:

1) Press the reset button under the battery cover, and the power/end button on the phone
2) Hold the power button until it gets to the Palm Powered splash screen
3) It will ask if you want to hard reset the phone, press Up (on my 650 anyway)
4) Select your language
5) Rinse and towel off.

will that in anyways affect unlocked status..like will it lock my phone up ?

also..how do i just turn the power off...everytime i hit the power button it just turns my wireless off

Shouldn't affect the unlock state. If this is a Treo 600, you have two power buttons. The one you should push and hold is on the top next to the antenna, not the one on the front.
