My Sprint HTC Touch stopped working

Tonight when I was using my HTC Touch, it froze. So, I took the battery out and tried to restart it. Now, it won't work anymore. It boots up until the Windows screen and then it freezes.

Has anyone else had this problem? My Touch is about 3 months old. Do you think its covered under warranty?

Thanks in advance.

As long as it isn't cosmetically beat up it should be covered by warranty. I would take it back to a Sprint store.

You shouldn't have to take it to the store. Hold both the green and red buttons below the screen and with your stylus, push inside the hole on the bottom of your touch to do a hard reset. When prompted to confirm the hard reset, say yes. But before you do this, make sure your data is backed up so you can restore your programs.

You can take it back to the Sprint store, but I think doing a hard reset would save you a lot of time.

EDIT: Woah, my 100th post! Woohoo!

Thanks, i did a hard reset and fixed it... but now I'm having reception and signal problems. Can you recommend anything to fix that?

That's what happened when I got my brand new touch (a replacement for my old touch). The guy who worked for Sprint at the time says the phone takes about 4-8 hours for the data to get transfered to the new phone. Could be the same for you, I say you should wait and see what happens.
