the zune's decent, good backup for my ipod
battery life kind of blows
reallly cheap (as in price) build quality is pretty good
don't have a case, only the sleeve it comes with and it hasn't broken yet!

The zune is a pretty nice in my opinion. I have one of the old school 30gigs. One thing that I think is awsome is that when the 2nd gen zunes came out, the 1st gen zunes were able to be updated with the 2nd gen firmware....the layout changed and more options were added. i can now choose a background picture and i can sync wirelessly(which is in my experience just as fast as when it is connected to the usb port.) Also, the zune may be a little larger but is rugged as hell. I've dropped mine several times and its still kicking. yes, battery life is kind of crappy. The 1st gen zunes got a lot of flack due to some problems with the original firmware. It would slow up sometimes and other times it would just power down. But, ever since i updated the firmware it has had absolutely ZERO issues. Also the zune program has gotten an updated look as well. Very visually pleasing. I am a field service mechanic for a heavy machinery company and i drive ALOT for work. I have mine in a make shift adjustable cradle that usually is used for a gps or PDA. I also have the Zune car charger/fm transmitter which, in my ford F250 work truck, works very well. For the cost of a zune, in my opinion the only thing you are sacrificing is size compared to an ipod. plus, ive never had anything but trouble running itunes on a windows based pc. the zune marketplace does not have as much downloadable content as itunes, but it is slowly growing. (i dont really buy music anyway..if you know what i mean)
