V9 Speaker issue

Is there any way to keep a conversation going using the speaker feature with the lid closed 
I miss that function from the old razr

You can do a seem edit to be able to keep the conversation alive if you close the lid, but you will lose the microphone functionality. So if you use the seem edit, you'll be able to close the lid and hear the other person, but won't be able to talk or respond.

Yeah it is fairly annoying
