Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me figure this out. I unlocked a couple AT&T branded W580i phones for travel. I have tested them with a Tmobile sim which works fine. However they won't work on the Caribbean GSM provider Cable & Wireless's network.

Has anyone ever had this trouble? Or have an idea why it won't work on one overseas network but on another?

The W580i is quad band. I have even tried flahing the phone to an unbranded firmware but I still have the same problem.

Don't know what it is, but my friend's unlocked w580 works perfectly in Tortola,BVI using the same C&W sim. We tried BMobile also and it worked...It is all the phones? What method did you use to unlock?

This is most likely due to the international carrier not using the same platform/firmware. Flash it using the firmware links on the thread reguarding debranding, and follow the tutorial.
