Sharing Kisekae 905i Themes

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Maikurukun

We should really either start making our own themes or finding them on japanese threads.

NTT docomo has their own theme creator, but i have no idea how to use it.
here is the website
http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/english/...t/kisekae_tool/

We should be working as a community to share what we know... because i'm pretty sure we don't need internet to get custom kisekae themes.

Posted by: KBoardBox

I'm pretty sure this thread is on the Internet?

If somebody can figure out that tool that would be sweet. Don't want any more funky Engrish in my menus lol

Posted by: Marco_92

oh yeah you're right!
i'd like to make my themes too ^^
or download others too....
so i'll help you to use the kisekae tool software!!! :-)
if there are news please tell it there!

This is pretty cool, I wish Softbank had something like this.
I downloaded this anyway and am now using some of the "receiving message", "incoming call" animated images on my 911T and they look great

Softbank does, it's called Kisekae Arrange, they just started it with the Spring 2008 lineup of phones (921SH, 922SH etc support them). Different type of theme format to the usual Sharp proprietary one; it will be supported across the board by all Softbank phones in the future.

So, whether a creator software pack will be released to the public or not depends on Softbank.

WOW !! Great news Al.. I wonder if some of the older models (911T..LOL) will be supported ??
I must say that 922SH is a great looking device !
Al, have you seen any information online about the "Kisekae Arrange ?
Cheers, LL-

That is, older phones aren't supported and won't be. I only discovered this when looking at screenshots of the 921SH's menus and found that 'Custom Screens' was changed to 'Kisekae Arrange'. Checking www.custamo.com, Sharp's got a note there saying that its Softbank phones will now be supporting both Softbank's Kisekae Arrange format as well as the Sharp proprietary one (.thf files). The themes are downloadable from content partners on the Y! Keitai portal, so I would assume (ie I haven't confirmed this) that the themes are now supported across the board by new phones from all Softbank manufacturers.

That's the extent of my knowledge.

Edit: I've taken a quick look at the 920P's menus and seen Kisekae Arrange in there. So I can say with some certainty that support is across the board here. However they won't be supporting old phones, I can guarantee you. They never add new features to old models.

Yep, my 920P has it in there, and I was a bit confused/surprised. Now I know why

Posted by: AL9999

You can download as much as you want if you keep that docomo card. All downloaded ringtones/kisekae themes are locked to that specific foma card. I've already tried downloading a kisekae theme from konami's website, then when I went back to Canada and used a Rogers sim with inex, the theme showed a mini picture of a sim that was crossed out.

offtopic but i was looking forward to my so905ics themes and games...lol

Posted by: wanmap

i lost all theme(kisekae)in foma sh905i,who can help me?
i come from Vietnam,i speak english is very bad.

Posted by: BMWFilms

i lost all themes on my 905ics but the only way to get them back is a master reset from docomo store in japan - so i`ve read.

Posted by: joshyth

i think the so905i&so905ics is the only 2 phone that come with more than 2 themes, right? Before i sold my so905i (again xD) on ebay, i see that there's like around 7 themes for the so905i compared to only 1 on my p905i. I really wish that there's a way to get more theme, and my uncle just left for Japan on a business or i could have gotten him to take my phone with him to download some themes on it =P. (i'm kind of glad that part of my family is japanese, so people in my family travel to japan quite often.)

Well there was a review by Sam Chan posted by xumedo and it the N905i and N905i (mu/micro) had MANY themes in their phones.

Posted by: murdoc2k

I think this maybe a NEC unique feature.

i accidentally pressed the "reset data & setting" button and lost all the preinstalled themes.. are there any ways to get the themes back?

Posted by: IonNuke

That sounds like a master reset. Usually that clears all data that wasn't on the phone by default.

no, the only way is that you have to take it to docomo store, or any places in japan that will reinstall it for you. there is no way you can get those files back if you are outside of japan.
