Has anyone tried this app yet?

I installed it the other day and I can't get working at all. I'm beginning to question whether or not it's even a legitimate app. Supposedly, it can syncml, sync with Google Calendar and read iCal feeds. So far, I haven't gotten any of these to work.

Has anyone else? I've tried to contact the developer twice, and I have yet to get a response. I can post debug info in anyone's interested.

Yup I did, here is a write up of my experiences in trying to get syncml to work on the iPhone.

After that I found a roundabout solution for over the air sync with SyncJE, a paid app with 15 days demo and my.funambol.com with funambol outlook plugin for outlook sync and then googlecalendersync for outlook to google calendar sync.

Of course for google calendar sync goosync.com and scheduleworld.com are better solutions since they sync directly with google but scheduleworld does not work with the only 2 way syncml client on iPhone, SyncJE and goosync free is limited to a 30 day timeframe and the paid version costs 20 dollars for 365 days calendar and contacts.

Synml2iPhone is one way sync only and can sync with google but doesn't allow you to delete entries that turn up on the phone from the server which is very inconvenient. The other syncml cleint for iPhone funambol/syncevolution is only contacts sync though its 2 way. That leaves SyncJE that is 2 way for calendar, contacts and notes.

Okay, I only need one way sync.... my syncml server to my iphone. Did you ever get syncml2iphone working?

Yes, I did get syncml2iphone working with google calendar. What server are you trying?

For Google, I'm not using any server, it's simply by uname and pass. Whenever I try to connect, I get an error "Cannot connect to Syncml2iPhone gateway".
