Hello all,

I have a brand new 8320 BB. unbranded and unlocked. I can't get email to work or receive service books. Has anyone had this issue? Rogers is useless and I can't seem to get anything to work properly. Phone works fine.

Thoughts?

I tried host routing table to register. I never get the registration message in my text inbox.

Did you buy a Blackberry Data Plan.

edge is bad and you need to see EDGE

Sounds like you either did not order a Blackberry Plan or they have not got you set up correctly.

I assume you are BIS

I have a friend who had the same issue a few days back, all of a sudden his unlocked 8320 would only display edge but in his other BlackBerry it would display EDGE. Rogers Wireless wasn't much of a help as he was using a non Rogers branded device and all they could do was a resend to the switch which didn't help. I suggested that he reload the OS since his initial reset didn't help and neither did the resend to the switch by Rogers data department. Once he reloaded the OS onto the 8320 he had EDGE displayed and was able to send/receive emails again. I don't know if that will work for you but it's worth a shot.

Thanks Mod HF 7. I have tried to load new firmware onto the device. it has v4.2.2.184. I still haven't been able to get the edge to load properly. If anyone reads this in the near future and knows how to fix please enlighten me.
