Hey Guys,
I opened my E815 to make a call a few hours ago and the screen was completely white (similar to when it is closed). Sometimes the top 1/3rd of the screen in black and the bottom 2/3rd's is white, sometimes it's snow (static like), its even the normal screen but with no responsiveness. Other than the interior screen being blank though everything else works fine on the phone as far as I can tell. I can receive and make (voice dial) calls, my memory of all the proper sequences of pressing buttons to do something also brings about the proper response.
My question is, do you think its a hardware or software issue? I can flash the phone and re-do everything I have done to it over the past two years and i can also take it apart and replace the screen. I'd rather replace the screen because that's less time consuming but you tell me what you think the problem is.
Thanks for your time,
Marc

I replaced the screen with another working one and it did no good, so I think it's safe to assume its a software issue.

It turned out to be the flex cable. Replaced and fix. Works like new.
Thanks Anyway

Those flex cables are where you should always start when you're diagnosing a sudden display issue. They're oddly fragile for something that gets used in a hinge area where they're folded and unfolded about a billion times.
