Anyone else have similar problems with their V3xx?

I have an at&t-branded gunmetal gray V3xx.

Recently, it's been randomly restarting itself on occasion...
I see no reason lol.

And sometimes when I try to respond to or read a text, it will restart as well.
Same for when I access media files or the calendar.

Ah...the same old Motorola issues. =/

And I find that sometimes when I said a new picture as the wallpaper, the background of the phone when scrolling through menus and stuff will be that new picture, just faded, like on the KRZR K1. But it doesn't do this consistently, just sometimes.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the skin, because the Disco skin automatically does it.

My only main problem is my phone restarting so often, it's quite annoying.

I would warranty exchange it for a new one. These phones seem to be very buggy. Do you need the number?

Hmm. Do you think I should go instore or just call into at&t?

It's aight, I've called in so many times I have their numbers memorized.

Same here. You could take it to a store but they arent much help, and will probably tell you the same thing I just did,m unless of course yuo have had it for under 30 days.

Haha last time my Cingular V3xx was defective I literally spent like 30 minutes in the store with a rep (albeit a very helpful and nice rep) trying to figure out what was wrong.

He changed the SIMs twice, took out his phone and tried to exchange messages between my phone and his, and even took it in back to see what other reps thought.
And then he looked on my account to see that everything was right and checked the settings on my phone.
Nothing worked, but I was really appreciative that he tried so hard.

Thumbs up for him.
Too bad the other 90% of CSR isn't much help.

I'll probably call in then.
Thanks!

I have the same phone. Have you figured out how to set up ringer ids? I have tried everything

Before sending your V3xx back to AT&T/Cingular, I used to have this same exact problem with my old V3i. The problem was due to the sim card being the older one. I had to update it to the newer ones and when I did, everything was back to normal.

I have the new 3G at&t SIM card, but I think I might try and get it changed again too.
Because sometimes it says "Check SIM."

And chickyno, I don't know how to set up ringer IDs.
As stupid as this might sound, I'm not exactly sure what they are.

If you're talking about where you assign a certain ringtone to a contact?
Forgive me for my ignorance lol.

My V3a does the same thing, when i am texting, it will just restart itself in the middle of typing a text message. I already got a replacement phone last week, and this one is already doing the same exact thing

I have also heard of the battery not properly connecting, as they fit a bit loose. Try sticking a piece of double sided tape to the back of the battery so it doesn't move.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea.
Double sided sticky tape, here I come.

I think it's just Motorola though.
They seem to have a lot of these issues.

Their phones look great, and the functions are decent, but the UI and reliability is so-so.
