question about summerboard themes

this is more out of curiosity than for any real purpose:
i noticed for a lot of themes out there, there are icons missing. normally i wouldnt care, but every once in a while these themes are missing icons for the icons that come with all iphones (like notes, or itunes). i have some themes that literally have an icon for every single item on my springboard ( i have about 15 extra apps) except for itunes. is there a reason for this?

it just confuses me, i mean how much harder would it have been to make an icon for that one thing, seeing as how they made an icon for all these obscure apps?

There are a few reasons that a lot of the summerboard and iswticher themes are missing icons. Some of the themes were made before apple included the iTunes update for the phone. Plus some of the guys probably hide the iTunes icon using customize or poof and thought there is no point in making it because not everyone keeps it on the home screen. The other reason is that a lot of the guys who created the themes only made icons for what apps they had on there phone or used at that time and a lot of the apps weren't out yet or made yet. I have many summerboard and iswticher themes that are missing icons, so I made a few myself that match the theme. The newer created themes have almost all the icons included.

Sometimes summerboard can't read the theme icon because it was spelled differently. One time a lot of the basic phone features did not change like sms, notes etc. So I found out that the sms was called mobilesms and notes was mobilenotes in this theme. Summerboard couldn't change them until I deleted the mobile from both of them. Iswitcher themes need to have mobile in front of some of the icon names to beable to change and summberboard can't have mobile in front of the icons name. Plus I have some themes that I needed to change the name of the icon to english because they were in German to get summerboard to change them.
