Hopefully this isn't a stupid question, but is there a way to get pics from a computer to the iphone without syncing through itunes? I am on T-mobile, and I tried sending an email to my phone, but gmail picked it up and I can't save the pic. I want the picture to be stored on my phones memory (camera roll)

I could probably connect the ipod and then put the pic on manually through my computer, but I'm looking for a way to do it wirelessly, using my edge connection (not wifi)

As of now, you can not save photos from Mail or Safari. You need to sync. Lets hope V2.0 will allow saving items from these apps.

since your phone is unlocked (you're on T-Mobile), install a screen capture utility from installer. Display the image on your phone, do screen copy and the image will be in your camera roll (it will capture your entire screen, not just the image).

why dont you just use iTunes?
