I highly doubt you heard your local commentator start off with "Today, Apple Incorporated announced..." Why? Because: 1) "Official" announcements, would be followed up by a press release on Apple's website. 2) Apple is very aware of the Osborne Effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osborne_effect) and does not "announce" revisions to existing products in advance. |

Maybe you need to gain a sense of humor? |

Then, I welcome your sarcasm - when you actually know what he said rather than incorrect speculation. |

My point was -- whatever he did report, was incorrect, from the point of your statement "the June release of the 3G iPhone was announced". No such thing was "announced" from Apple. Not last week, not this week. He reported on speculation from analysts - right or wrong as it may be - not a statement or press release from Apple. C'mon, use that thing between your ears. You think a podunk local news reporter is going to be the first to break a story about a new Apple product release? Not Engadget, Gizmodo, CNet, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, or some other primary source? |
