Hi,

Just got my 6263 in the mail.

Nice phone but apparently it's so new that nothing is compatible with it yet!

Opera Mini 4 doesn't work, yet they have it for 6267!?
-I get a message that says "Application access set to not allowed"
-Tried everything T-mobile was no help either!
Google Maps downloads fine then tries to install and I get the same problem as I did with the same steps with Opera Mini 4.

T-mobile doesn't even have the Data Configurator setup for the 6263! after I called them and was on the LAN line phone with them tinkering with my 6263 they had found a Data Configuration for the T-Mobile Web and sent it to my phone however, it was for a different Nokia phone. I can't remember because all these 4 digit Nokia brands get lost in my head!

I went from a Motorola SLVR L7 to this phone BECAUSE I want to use the UMTS options when it because widely available from T-mobile. My SLVR L7 only support data packet speeds up to the EDGE version 32.

The internal Browser works great! and as a matter of fact the internet seems to run faster on this phone than on the SLVR.

I just want a simple solution for this! I'd be fine not unlocking it ONLY if I could get Opera, Google Maps (downloaded program) to work.

-Thanx

You might look in the T-Mobile forum, there is a way to get the java apps (google maps, opera) to work, but the easiest way is to debrand. (Not unlock. Its a different process.)

The reasons the apps work for the 6267 and not the 6263 is because T-Mobile branded nokias are locked down as far as what they can and can't do.
