So, how many of you are learning to code for the iPhone?

I hope to start this summer. Could be some challenge with a .Net background to get my head around the SDK though

i had a C++ programming class when i was back in highschool, and i was looking for something rather constructive to occupy my spare time, so i decided to get a macbook and start programming.

for now, it is just as a hobby, nothing too serious

have you done any iPhone apps yet?

I tried to pick it up and figure out a few things but xCode is just wayy too foriegn for me. I only have limited experience in Java and Actionscript (lol) so it'll be a long way coming.

Now if only apple released a book specificly no iPhone coding. There is one for native apps but from what i've seen of those only offer basic functionality, unless i'm wrong.

I just DL'd the SDK the other night. Will install on my Macbook soon.

There's a XCODE book coming out this month on Amazon that looks good. I'm probably going to grab it to learn XCode and play with iPhone application development.

Apple have the distrubution system all ready, so its a matter of writing some decent applications. I BET there will be a Ton of Poker games flooding out
