Well, I have the Sony Ericsson S500i, and it is a decent phone. The camera is mediocre, not bad, but there are better. The reception is decent, as is the ear piece volume. It is a neat phone, but I think that most people tend to grow tired of the side lights which there is no way to turn off. I know that was one of the things that I grew tired of. Also, the keypads tend to crack, although not all of them do. Mine has not.

I can't say anything about the Nokia, I have only used one Nokia in my life, and it was a long time ago. I guess it really depends on what your cellular needs are as to which phone to get.

They are not the exact same, but they are similar. I have not had a problem although my wife did with her W580i, and that was within 2 weeks of having the phone.

yeah its crazy how i've had 580s come in the same batch at the same time, and ive had people break some of them in a matter of weeks, and others who havent broke them yet. idunno what causes it, just some particular phones are weaker or if texting a whole bunch is to much for the keypad to handle.

I know what you mean. I texted quite a bit on my S500i which is older than my wifes W580i. She only texted about 20 times, and one of the keys cracked. Mine still has not cracked, and they feel very solid. It is a weird thing. SE really should have fixed that, and if they would have, I think that the phone would be much more popular.

Hmm off topic much.. Go with the N82 if you dont care about pricing.
