Moto U9 & assigning ringtones

I've been playing around with my new purple U9 for a few days now, and I've set personal ringtones for some of my contacts, but when they call I still get my standard ringtone. I've tried everything I can think of

Any ideas?

Curious: what is your ringer setting on? ie: loud, silent, etc.

I remember seeing something in the menu like allowing customer ringtones, Once you set the ringtone then you have to enable the custom ringers, its stupid but it is there, I lost my u9 so I cant tell you exactly how to find it.

It's on vibrate & ring, and I've tried creating my own custom setting but that doesn't work either.
