Hi all
I have a pantech duo that i brought with me from the US to Europe. I found the unlock code and It works fine with my Operator (vodafone) but i do have a couple of questions and the most urgent one is how do i get 3G to work in Europe ? for some reason i can only get a GPRS connection and it will not switch to 3G. I can't figure out why. plz help.

My other question is is there is a unbranded unlocked ROM out there if so where can i donwload it ?

Ok so i did some research and it turns out that US & Europe run 3G at different frequencies and even with a slight difference in the protocol. So in the pantech Duo's case that means no support for European 3G in the AT&T Rom. So my only hope i that there might be a unlocked EMEA ROM out there somewhere.

If I remember correctly when I had the Duo it only had dual band 3G meaning 850/1900 and no 2100 which is what Europe uses. I'm sorry to say 3G isn't going to work for you.

rom change will not help. Its a hardware issue.
