I want drivers to the VX8100

I've been up and down Google, I've been to countless forum posts, I've followed around the trails of circular linking with dead sites and commercial ads and contradictions, etc.

Will somebody _please_ just post the damn drivers without a bunch of unnecessary BS? Is it too much to ask?

I'm sure this comes up in quite a few driver threads: http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/Step2.aspx?maker=LG and/or http://www.lgcommunity.com/FileLibr...54/Default.aspx.

Vcast says you get the drivers _seperately_ with buying the cable, I already own the cable. The LG file library doesn't list VX8100. See this is what I'm talking about, do these drivers not exist? Is this phone imaginary? Why can't anybody across the entire internet simply say "the drivers are right here"?

I'm in the same situation. I hate to say it, but I had the driver. It was installed and working, but I had to rebuild my machine and completely forget where I got it. If I find it again I'll be happy to shout the damn location from my roof...and post it.

Ok, I got the answer and you're going to hate it. I know everyone tells you not to use the Windows drivers to get the 8100 to work in Bitpim, but they work just fine as long as you make sure you install all 3. There's nothing special here. Bitpim isnt gonna die if you try to connect before you install all three drivers. It just wont work till you do it. I swear this works, I'm setting my ringer as the Family Guy's Full Blown AIDS song as I type this.

I'm fairly certain that when you are installing http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/Step2.aspx?maker=LG, unless it has recently changed, it will in fact have the drivers as well (which you might even be able to install separately).

Alright, I'll give it a shot (thanks, hope it works)
