ok, im new to this ...and ive done searches and found out alot..but help me out with some staight answers ...PLEASE.I had a moto v3m, with verizon,unlimited v-cast,and wanted to do bluetoothconections w/ computer to work with pics and contacts and the such.so got a kensington b/t program but then realized that verizon phones are blocked from this,as my buds same phone from tmobile works fine...sooo..being the dumb ... that i am on these things, went to verizon and found a b/t funtionality chart, and of all the phones ver has the LG VX8700 looked like it had all the functions that i wanted...got one,activated it..but still no b/t with comp..starting to understand and dislike ver. now. did some searching and reading and heard you can use bitpim...tried to use it on the v3m to download contacts but it doesnt recognize the phone. does the phone have to be activated to use this prog.?also i found datapilot universal pro. its on the way . will this program work with both phones....i just want to be able to utilize the functions on the phone,transfer contacts and files and such back and forth from comp and phone...i dont want to steal services just use whats there.

Get and use Motorola Phone Tools. You can add/remove pictures and mp3s with that program. Contacts, use backup assistant available through get it now. It is free if you have a verizonwireless.com account (it'll say you'll be charged, but you won't be if you have an account online. If you don't, get one, it's free). Backup assistant will keep your contacts on the BA server. So, if you get a different verizon phone, all you have to do is download backup assistant again, hit restore, and all of your contacts will be back to the new phone.
