Treo 650: Voicemail Shortcut

I just got a Treo 650 (better late than never, right?) and I'm just getting comfortable with it. I've done some research and found out that the favourite's button for Voicemail located at the bottom of the screen has a hard-coded shortcut represetation of E1. It always looks like I have 1 voicemail. Is there any way I can get rid of that button or change it to hide the number? Thanks.

Keyboard that button is hardcoded for VM. You can press and hold the number 1 to access your VM.

I don't think it's possible to change or remove the 1 from the key. Sucks don't it.
