Hello people,

I searched for this answer and got some related replies but nothing very specific, so thought I would post a new thread. I am looking for a way to deliver streaming audio to the BB. Basically the idea is that I have an RSS feed with each post pointing to a different stream, and anybody who accesses the feed can hear the audio feed of his/her choice.

So I completely control the streaming format, all I need is a player for the BB that can handle this. I do not believe the built in media player (most of my audience uses the 8830) will handle this. Is there a solution (free/paid software) that will let me do this?

I'm looking into (And I know it can be done "look at quickplay") creating an application for the BB Pearl mainly (Curve in a bit once I get it working on the pearl).

I'm going to mess around with the JVLC libraries and see if I can get it to work.

I am using ORB on my home computer, so what it does, is you create a playlist, and it send it as an ASX file.

VLC can play pretty much anything you throw at it, so I think that it would be a great way to have any kind of streaming audio/video content that you use in ORB sent to your bbVLC player (That's my working name right now).

As of late, you'd have to wait for Sona's media player. I think it's sonamobile.com or something.
