Is there a major difference between HyperSim NextSim7 and Hypersim NextSim6?

Can someone please state what the differences are? I'm trying to choose a sim but I'm getting confused which one I should be using.

I'm in Canada right now so I'll be on Rogers network. I also happen to have 3040 sim.

then who cares..lol.. they both work with the 3040....

Posted by: shungo

Roger 3040 works for all new docomo phones and the latest sims. At least that's what I've read on this forum.

Update: I was checking this out on ebay and for some reason the description of NextSim V6 says it only supports P905i on T-mobile new sims. I'm currently asking the seller if it will work on rogers network (the thing I'm really concerned about).

**UPDATE2** : Ebay seller claims it should work and will provide me with full refund if it doesn't. I'm gonna bet on it! It's 28 dollars USD shipping included! It's got to be the cheapest hack that works for P905i right now.. I just blew out 610 CAD on P905i + Dock + charger.. I'm getting pwned I need a job fast! lol

well as i heard none of them works for the 4000. I, myself has a 4000 too and want to get a 905i. I guess we gotta wait. Post here if you test something out.

so even my 811sh can't take 4000 sim?

811sh is softbank, softbanks seem to have less issues over docomos...

I think it's cause they've spent a lot more time on unlocking softbank. It's only within these few months that hypersim for docomo phones are available.

that's true. So does these hypersims work with 920SH and 4000 sim card?
or any other softbank phones?

I just received my Next SIM 6 and now I'm curious about the difference in thinness. Can anyone who has both take a picture of them to compare?

I don't think there's much difference in the design specification. The major change between 6 and 7 as I learn about it is the firmware update. The chip is different. NextSim v6 was made primarily for T-Mobile users and mainly for 2G unlock only (it's like a beta). NextSim v7 is the real deal where the author tries to unlock 905i's for worldwide GSM networks.

These sims from what I know are made specifically for Docomo series. I've read somewhere that the protection system Docomo users and Softbank are completely different and therefore you cannot use sim hacks made specifically for Docomo 905i's on your Softbank phones.

but it still does not support DoCoMo phones + Hypersim + Rogers 4000 sim card right? the most i want is a docomo 905i but if hypersim works with softbank + 4000 simcard then i'll think about softbank

no idea about softbank at the moment (seems like everyone including myself is on the docomo hype).

For docomo, I don't think any 905s work with Rogers 4000 yet... You can certainly buy a 905 and test it with the latest sim, but at this point I do not have any verification from anyone being able to use 905 with rogers 4000.

Bad news... I just saw the prices on ebay for NextSim v7 is going up like crazy.

The cheapest NextSim v7 was 57 CAD (shipping included) now it's at 70+ Some people are starting to price it at 90 + shipping (100 CAD)!!

I hope my NextSim v6 works or I'm doomed =( I'm stuck with a 13 dollar increase

did anyone buy the nextsim 7 and if so, what did you guys experience?

To tell you the truth, there's no current sim that works 100% with no out problems with any sim hack. The most stable one seems to be 3030 and then 3040 for roger sims. Anyone else is just not working at all.
