So here it is.
I have my BJ2 connected to my laptop, I am currently using it as my sole internet connection. I would like to be able to share my internet connection wirelessly with my wifes laptop. I have created an Ad Hoc network to connect the two laptops but when I try to enable ICS for the Ad Hoc connection it fails. I am running Vista home(premium) on the host laptop, and XP Pro on Laptop #2. Has anyone tried this yet? Whats the trick?

i've done that several times. I was in NYC last weekend with my girlfirend and with my friend not having wifi at her house and weak wifi all around i just used my cell, started a connection and shared it then started a AD hoc and it worked just fine.

She has Vista also but it doesn't matter. What's the failure error that you get.

I think the problem lies in an IP address conflict. I am not to smart when it comes to the IP subnet masks and default gateways and all of that, my research came up with: I need to know how to set my (host) laptop as a router to assign an IP to the (client) laptop. I dont know if that is possible because if im right, that process is already being done from the phone to the (host) laptop via the ICS hack. I included the data from my laptops IPconfig while connected to my BJ2 in case it would help any troubleshooters

i've been trying to do this as well and there is an ip address conflict because ICS for xp/vista uses 192.168.0.1 as the server ip address and when i connect my pc to my blackjack II using ICS, the server ip address that at&t uses is also 192.168.0.1 so that's where the conflict occurs. anyone have any solution to this?

i found the solution without using vista's or xp's ICS. just bridge the bj2 connection with the adhoc network and other computers should be able to connect to it. just highlight both the bj2 connection and the adhoc network, right-click and select bridge. just make sure that the other computers get an ip address of 192.168.0.xxx from the adhoc network and it should work. i had my laptop connected to my bj2 using ICS and bridged that connection to the adhoc network i set up and was able to connect my desktop to it and get on the internet. i even connected my xbox 360 with a wireless adapter to the adhoc network and connected to xbox live and played call of duty =) good luck!
