recently i've noticed thru being informed, that our arsm and vp/gm have been remotely checking the cameras in the stores throughout the state im in. such instances as not bringing accessories up to the counter, not having consultation guides in hand, and general not being busy at all times, has lead to disiplinary action because of this. Is anyone else finding this a problem or having this happen to them?

I asked my buddy about this and he said no.

Thats a lie i know that the ARSM AND DOS do it, they have software in there laptobs that allows them to check stores camaras at anytime.

How little does their job entail that they actually do this?

One day they are going to do away with ARSMs and just have district managers. Seriously. They have too much time on their hands.

My manager is the one who gets on us if we are slacking, and that is how it should be. I feel someone higher up should have more pressing matters to attend to.

My ARSM was in my store watching another stores cameras while he was there on his laptop. So yeah it is true.

heh my arsm works out of the back of my store!.. he has no need to check cameras he just comes out on the floor and says hey

He doesn't check the cameras in our store, he checks the cameras of OTHER stores.

im indirect...and our DM monitors the cameras at our stripmall/plaza stores...constantly calling them to put ties on and fix their appearance. Although he cant do it for our kiosks

BINGO! no one should be paranoid about being watched as long as they're doing their jobs.

My boss just came back from vacation and wrote an emplyee here up for not having his shirt tucked in and coming in late.

they are checkin ours lol, bunch of us got yelled at for 'having drinks on the floor' and stupid stuff like that

They only will review the cameras with reason. It's not fun to watch surveillance footage all day, and definitely not an effective use of time.

I'm sure they have the capacity to watch the footage, but do not harp on it as their means of monitoring the store. It's been broken down very honestly for my team that if we are exceeding our goals, we should continue to do so in whatever way stays legal.
