This article specificially states that the BL can not be upgraded once downgraded by Ziphone.

Having said that, I actually ran upgrade on the Pwnage tool and then ran HW info and the BL was 4.6 on a Ziphone downgrade. All functions are working fine.

I'm not sure of the date of this article, but since Pwnage was released it appears as if an upgrade is possible if someone wanted to do so.

I'm not saying there is a reason (other than warranty), but merely trying to see if anyone else has tried this yet. I can't imagine that the Trejan info is wrong?

with pwnage, bootneuter specifically, you are now able to freely change though bootloader. that article is most likely outdated as before pwnage was out, the ziphone downgrade was irreversible.

Yup, article is outdated. With the release of pwnage/bootneuter upgrading/downgrading bootloader is quite simple now.

I have a OTB 113, obviously with BL 4.6

I have used ZiPhone 2.5 to Jainbreak, Unlock, Activate and using it with T-mobile. So this means that my current BL is downgraded to 3.9

According to your post, you have used PWNAGE and upgraded your 3.9 BL to 4.6 - Is this true?

If so, does your phone need to be unlocked and activated again? - If Yes, what process do we have to use to do this (since Ziphone would downgrade the BL back to 4.9)

Does the Pwnage process get your phone back to factroy settings (similar to loading the 114 FW in DFU mode?)

Appriciate any help on this.

You can upgrade our bootloader with pwnage if need be. this really would only need to be done if you were planning to return to apple and need it back to "factory" specs. you can totally get rid of ziphone and use pwnage tool. It is able to unlock, activate, jailbreak and all. This is done through building custom firmwares (ipsw). This is stuff you could find out on the dev website or many other places. iphone-dev.org

Jester is correct! I just did it for the hell of it and it worked flawlessly. That is why I couldn't believe it. Really there is not need though unless you need to return the phone. I kept my 16 GB at 3.9
