So I have a like new 8801 lying around with a broken screen, its not cracked or anything but the screen just doesn't display anything, it still charges and i don't know if it calls because i do not have a t-mobile sim card.

Is it possible to find a screen somewhere, also can i put it in myself?

And is it hard to unlock the phone to work with AT&T?

Sell it on eBay. It's a terrible phone even with the screen working. You are looking at potentially $100 in new batteries (you will need at least 2 BL-6x since the stock battery is garbage - recycle it) and if it's locked, you've got an expensive unlock as well.

You can get it unlocked for free. Do your research, it's not very hard. But for the rest I partially agree, you won't get it up and running for dirt cheap. It will take some time and money. Depends on how much you like the phone. I still got a black one that I use from time to time, and no issues with a 6x battery.
