So I have been out of the loop for a while about the iphone and unlocking. At one time, I thouyght that if you unlocked an iphone - you could never do an update if Apple sends one out - is this still true?

What should one look for if they want to work on T-Mobile? IE certain FW? how it was unlocked?

Also, since DT in Germany sells the iphone, could we not just import those to work with USA T-Mobile?

any iPhone will work. The latest 114 firmware can be unlocked easily with pwnage.
