Marketsource and ATT

Guys I have a question. I've been through 2 interviews so far and a third scheduled for a company called Marketsource. I'm interviewing to be a liaison between ATT reps and Nokia, help drive sales of Nokia products and provide solutions to issues surrounding Nokia products. But I wanted to know, how does your Nokia rep (outsourced or OEM employee) help you? Just want to get an idea of what my day to day could be like. Thanks.

im indirect...but our nokia rep always shows us features on the nokia's we sell that a lot of people dont know about, tells us about the n-95 which apparantly is being tested by AT&T, gives us pens, keychains, stress balls, and demo's his nokia bluetooth speakers for us.

Other than that, not much. I know he travells all over ohio doing this...and has a blast doing so. Very cool guy

I've never seen my nokia rep but I've heard they have visited our store twice! (in the last two years)

Yeah, my thoughts exactly (again with the sarcasm). But seriously, I haven't seen a rep from any vendor in our store or heard of them traveling through to any other stores in our area. Weird, because so many of the stores in our market are near a corporate office of AT&T.

The only evidence of a vendor rep I know of is, when the Pantech Duo was first launched, a rep phoned our store to see if we had any questions. Is that a version of a store visit?

Honestly, the information about phones and devices I get from blogs, PhoneScoop, and forums does take alot of time to digest. But I feel more knowledgeable about the products from outside sources in addition to the little press releases we get from corporate.

To stay on the bleeding edge, you have to take it upon yourself to educate yourself, and not rely solely on press releases.

When new pantech phones come out our rep stops by quite a bit.
I'd say our motorola rep comes in every once in a while as well but every time they do it's a new person.
Our sony rep used to come in all the time until they got rid of all their reps.

Our blackberry and nokis reps stop in and chat with us 2 times a month. Never see our lg rep or our samsung rep tho

sony didn't get rid of their reps, mine just stopped by 2 days ago...he usually does every few months and is actually the only rep to stop at my store. my market has gone through about 4 pantech reps in the last year and a half and they always call when they get hired, but that's about it. i met our nokia rep at a share rally last april, my market doesn't currently have a motorola rep...at least the last i heard and i've never seen or heard from a rep from any other company

What reps? I'm in a market where the coverage area is literally my town, not even the rest of the county, so they don't care.

Wow Marketsource is still around? Cause in IL they're all gone...they only had contracts to be in Best Buys and well now Best Buy is its own mobile store---no reps, only their employees
