I just got a blackjack 2 today and everything is good so far, but cant do something I want to do with telenav. I downloaded telenav "It was about a 1.5mb file" and installed it and when I open it up it says its AT&T maps. I don't know if that is what it should be or not. What I want to do is be able to click a button and have it show me where I am in the naviagation. Like if I was driving down the street and wanted to see my gps moving etc. I don't want to have to put in place 1 and place 2. It was easy to do on my TILT, but on this i can't seem to find where to get this at. I just don't know if at&t maps is what i should be seeing or if it should say navigator. Thanks for any info.

I called telenav and they sent me a link to download something and it now says telenav maps. and under that it says "upgrade to gps navagator and when I click that it says to call atnt to sign up.. I am on hold now. Its like the navigator isnt insalling just maps..

If a mod wants you can delete this. ATNT had me down for the wrong telenav service. it was 12.99 a month and the service I want is only 9.99 a month. arhhhh

Why pay AT&T when you can get free navigation software like Google Maps or Live Search (if you have unlimited data already)? GPS is free to use.

Google maps or live doesnt give you turn by turn directions W/O clicking a button and seeing the next turn, it doesnt show you gas prices in your area, it doesn't show you traffic issues in ALL areas of the US, it doesn't give you better imagery which shows you cross streets......................... the list goes on. I have all of the above and Telenav... telenav by far is a superior GPS service. What's 10 bucks a month if you use it?

I agree Google maps or Live Search aren't serious navigation software that you can live upon for day to day use. After all, it's free. If you need a serious navigation software, you can purchase 3rd party software like Garmin XT etc. without paying monthly fees. But the screen of the BJ2 is too small to be practical. A $100 standalone GPS unit will serve you better. Leave the phone for casual usage of GPS.

As for features of TeleNav listed by CingularEmploye, both software have those features as well although may not be as complete.

I suppose if you want to be technical it supports a fraction of the same features... but "not as complete" would be an understatement if you've used both. I'm not a huge GPS fan as it is, but i use them from time to time just for the heck of it. Its handy at times but the Telenav is much nicer... more towards the Garmin and other devices w/o carrying multiple devices.
