One problem, it will not let me use MPT to tether like I always do. Instead after MPT varifies my usrn & pswd it gives me some error "make sure you have a data plan, contact your service provider and blah blah" Is it possible that Moto finally closed the loophole for internet connection/tethering feature with MPT V.5 or am I just doing something wrong? Have you been able to use it on the Z9? Thanks! ![]() |

First of all when you go to create a new connection change the service provider from "AT&T" to "other" ad then click next. I just left it connection type as "UMTS" on the next screen, then clicked next again. On the next screen you need to put in the following user name: "wap@cingulargprs.com" password: "cingular1" Here's where things changed for me, the first time I set it up it ask for telephone number if you see that, the telephone number is "*99#" I decided to try it again to double check the settings and the next time I did it it asked for APN which is: "wap.cingular" Whichever comes up for you, enter the needed info and click next. After that I made no changes to any of the other screens and just continued to click next until the connection was setup. All that's left to do is select your connection and selct the connect option. I tried it numerous times, it worked flawlessly for me. |

You might try this site and see if you can do it via BT. http://homepage.mac.com/jrc/contrib/tzones/ |
