I really appreciate all the support. This will be a huge life change and won't be easy, but hopefully it'll mean I'll be even more plugged into the mobile tech industry in the future.
Exciting stuff!

So far I love it there. I have a similar weekend coming up for Berkeley in May, so my challenge will be to not fall head-over-heels in love with springtime weather in the Bay Area. Exciting stuff! |

Multi-ethnic for sure and heck of a place to attend college, given the sheer academic brilliance of their alumn.
So many colleges tried to recruit Jason Kidd (local kid) around the time I lived in the area, but even he opted for Cal, as it's such a cool campus! |

If that didn't convince you, maybe a Long Island Ice Tea would... ![]() |

And that's the thing. Business school is not about academics, per se, it's about the network you build through that business school, alumni, professors and others associated with the program. As much as I love New York City, I have to admit Berkeley is miles ahead of NYU in terms of its tech network; Berkeley's proximity to Silicon Valley is incomparable, while NYU's proximity to Wall Street brands it as more of a "finance school." Now I still have to decide that Berkeley is a good fit for me, and I'm very much a New York City kinda guy. So I'm heading out there April 30-May 3 for Berkeley's Days at Haas preview weekend, which will be my deciding factor. I'll let you guys know what my final decision is at that point, but my desire to work in tech is definitely leading me in the direction of the West Coast... ![]() |

I'm a Golden Bear for the next to years, but I'll be a New Yorker at heart forever.
