lg voyager and linux mint

so im running straight linux mint and just got my voyager. cant wait to start adding ring tones and what not, but i cant get the drivers off the cd because surprise surprise, its only for windows. im trying to get bitpim, but it doesnt seem to want to work. any advice/help??
