Is there another contract, in addition to the 2-year, that a customer signs (even if it's not blatantly disclosed) when buying from Best Buy, Wal-Mart, or Radio Shack?

I know there is with Amazon, Wirefly, and LetsTalk, but those are all online entities. I believe it's a 6-month contract.

I just wondered if there's any difference between online and brick-and-mortar.

The search button is your friend. Best Buy does NOT have a secondary contract for ATT customer's. In many instances, Best Buy prices dust COR prices so save yourself a chunk of change.............

most of them are not contracts, retailers just don't get paid until the customer has held onto the equipment for more than six to seven months. So if you plan on switching carriers with in the next six months then don't bother, if you don't then go enjoy the deal.

I can confirm that there is no secondary contract with RadioShack. Probably the same with all national retailers.

there is no additional contract with Best Buy/Best Buy Mobile. you may have to sign 2 copies, just so there is one on file in store and at corporate.

plus prices are cheaper at BBY Mobile with no rebates and accidental damage coverage on all phones and pdas with no deductable. wanna know more about BBY Mobile check out these threads....
