Between these two phones, what would you recommend? The phone will be primarily used for voice, and sms. I do not plan to use data. Thanks in advance.

The V3xx is an awesome phone and you won't be disappointed. I too am looking at the Z750a but I want to wait until there are some reviews. It was only released this week, so it could be a couple of weeks before we see some comparisons.

MY OPINION the Razr is so last decade its not attractive at all to me. 5 years ago it was amazing, not so much now. I have had the 750 for 3 months now and have had ZERO issues with it, the 3g makes the media net adn tethering faster, which I use daily.

1- Is your Z750 unbranded? If so, are you able to force either Edge or 3G?

2- Using the 3G, how is the battery doing for you?

If the razr is last decade then the 750 is last century. Look at the inside of that flip, looks like my bro's super old walkman phone. Not much style at all there. The outside does look nice, created in the pebl's image no doubt.

It is an ATT branded, Bro works for SE. You can select GSM Only or 3G/ GSM. through Menu, setting, connectivity.

Battery is not a problem, definately last longer than the SE K850s which is also a 3G phone

relax. The Razr is the most popular handset EVER. Thats part of the problem, Moto has ridden the Razr into the ground. Do you know anyone who hasnt had a razr? I doubt it. people over 50 don't count.
Moto is having issues because they haven't come out with anything new in a few years. Teh Z9 is just a Razr V9 in slider, down to the color, they did add the nipples to the buttoms. Moto does have some good stuff coming from what I saw at CTIA, they just need to let go of the Razr

I think I would know better than you since I own both the V9 & Z9.

Improvements in Z9

-Menus fade in & out/cool transitions

-8GB Micro SDHC compatibility

-Camera with Flash

-Pop up graffix in the sub-menus

-Larger 2.4 inch screen

-Faster interface & reported faster data rates

-First at&t Gps phone(besides smartphones), with at&t navigator

-Java Applications are integrated into the UI instead of just being in a list under "Games & Apps"

-Comes with Mobile Banking app, Movies by IMOb, Super KO Boxing(really cool game) & many other useful applications.

That said I do agree Moto needs another big hit like the razr was in 04.

Honestly I think you'd be fine going with either phone. I've really heard nothing but good things about the v3xx, and for the brief time that I owned one, I had no problems. I also love SE phones so I would have no problem recommending the z750a (though you may want to wait until you either read some reviews about it or hear from more people that have used it...just in case).

I think what it all boils down to is which user interface you like more. I have used SEs for a while because I've grown accustomed to their UI and am put off by all the other companies UIs. So for me personally, the z750a wins, but again, this is really something that differs from person to person. I think the best idea would be to head to a corporate AT&T store and get a feel for both phones, then decide which one you like best.

Please, the phone MUCH more closely resembles a MOTO Pebl.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I am not sure why Moto, especially the RAZR (and all its variants) get so much love. Even the original RAZR, when it was released, was a POS. It was just sexy. Otherwise, most phones did everything better and had more features. I feel the same way about every Moto released since then. And, yes, I have owned, used, and/or given away (sold, returned, and/or thrown away) many Moto phones, including the ones being discussed here. I just purchased the Z750 and I have to agree with SUX. I also briefly owned the K850 and find the Z750 to be much better.

I played with the Z750a at the ATT store on Friday and could not see anything to select GSM Only or 3G/GSM under "connectivity". I even had the rep try and he couldn't see a select option either. So now I'm baffled.

I've never had the K850 - so can you be more specific about the battery time?

Surely appreciate your help

Thank you muchly ~

Please, and I could go further and say the moto copied the Kyocera A1403K from 2004
http://k-tai.impress.co.jp/cda/arti..._top/21422.html

and I still dont see a resemblence of a z750i to a pebl, if anything I see more sharp 804sh and the docomo sony ericssons, not a motorola
