Does anyone know where i can find some kind of generic firmware for a motorola w510?

I live in china, and bought one thats branded as China Mobile. The firmware that it comes with though, is extremely limited in features and a pain to use. If anyone knows a way to get either plain motorola firmware thats not customized for china mobile, or just some kind of third-party thing, it would be greatly appreciated...

Also, Im not sure if china mobile makes any hardware modifications to it, so that might cause it to have some problems in being able to run other stuff as well. It's a gsm model, so that probably helps

do you know if there's a way to put some firmware from another carrier that doesn't disable as many features on it?

again, i'm not sure if the hardware is different as well as the firmware, but its labelled as a "w510"

take a look here Try an original and unlocked 11.05R or 12.05R firmware, but be advise that 12.05R is sticky(cant be changed). Do a backup before you flash it!
