ok. i went out and spent money on a micro sd card.. put it in my laptop and put songs on it. everything went well. well i put it in the phone and when i go into the storage>memory>card memory it shows the songs.... but i cant play them any wher... how do i play my music????? please someone help me. send a txt 937 308 7550 IM me on aim iknowyouwantme26 or PM me back on hee or something asap thanks guys BTW this is verizon carrier phone

Well that would be part of the problem. Next it would help if you told us what kind of Phone you have.

I presume this is for music to play and not for ringtones (which can be mp3, but loading them into a VZW V3m is an entirely different process)!

Music must be WMA (Windows Media Audio, file extension of ".wma"), and it cannot be DRM protected (unless you bought and downloaded it from the "store" to that specific phone).
Windows Media Player 10 and up can rip CDs and make WMA files from the music (don't know about WMP9), but it cannot convert mp3 into WMA. A large number of free audio conversion programs can though (e.g. Super).
While the V3m can handle mp3 ringtones, the music player cannot . . . nor can it handle m4a or iTunes m4p (the latter are DRM protected as well).
Music must go into a specific directory on the SD card, and for a VZW V3m, it's in a different directory than where you'd put it for a different carrier's V3m.

Let the phone set up the SD card with directories (which IRRC, it will do automagically if you power up the phone with the card inside it).

Turn off phone, remove battery and then pull out micro-SD card (aka trans-flash card).
When you pull the card out and put it into a card reader, you should be able to find (or create if it isn't there) a "my_music" directory. Put the WMA music files in there.
Put micro-SD card back into phone, replace battery and back, and then power it up.
You should now find the music listed under "Get Tunes & Tones" -> "3. My Music" starting from the main menu.
If you want to manage playlists, etc., go to "Get Tunes & Tones" -> "6. Manage Music" instead.
