The LG Voyager on AT&t

I just read on engadget that it might not be exclusive to verizon for long. I would love to see how AT&T would grace this phone with their branded beauty (sarcasm.) What do you phone experts think of this "official" rumor?

Posted by: fractured

AT&T is getting the VU, which is pretty much like the LG Prada. I don't see why they would need or want to get the Voyager.

the vu pretty much the voyager for ATT, why make another model?

I would finally love to see a qwerty phone on att but why the voyager?

Posted by: dshort09

yes i would to, I would love to see more creative type phones like verizons (flipshot, venus, and alias.) i would love to have a touch screen and keyboard, best of both worlds. im deciding between the vu and tilt.

Well, the Voyager would fill the gap for qwerty dumb phones, so that those who want qwerty with out the brains could be satisfied.

I can't help but feel slightly tread upon....

For those who couldn't tell, that was an insult to the Voyager. I could sense some bitterness, too.

I think it was more saying for those people who want a keyboard but not a smartphone cause it has a bunch of unneeded features.

the voyager is a waste of parts. it wouldn't sell side by side with the vu. LG is going to give us a PDA in q4 or early q5. keyboard fans should wait.

QWERTY keypad and GPS. The Vu is all touch screen. And like its been said, a qwerty "dumb" phone for those who dont want a "smart" phone. Fills a nice void for att IMO. They have no qwerty phones that arent expensive smart phones requiring the expensive smart phone plans. Both Verizon and Sprint have these.

I can see why, touchscreen keyboards are a pain. I am pretty good, but now I keep hitting the enter button when I try to hit "N" or "M", so it breaks to a new line. I also hit the send button. I personally like the fact that they are realizing they need some QWERTY dumbphones. (actual QWERTY, not virtual.)

yes at&t needs more qwerty phones that arent windows devices, just so they can have more a variety .

I've been with AT$T for a year now and still waiting for even ONE qwerty, non-smart phone. They just want the extra data and/or blackberry revenue the smartphones require. There is obviously a HUGE market for this (IE: Teens and their relentless texting), so not having even one when everyone else has them, leads me to conclude that GREED is the driving factor.

Sarcasm I take it, since there obviously no "fifth quarter"? Or am I missing something?

I've been on vzw for a long time and seems like everybody's gripe there is that the phone selection stinks and they are crippled. I'm looking to switch to att and just trying to figure out the nuances for att's handsets.
