Ok, I just got my vx6700 and Im trying to put ringtones on it from my computer. I already now how to do this Hook your phone up, open up active sync, click on "explore". Find the correct folder, then drag and drop the cut mp3 into that folder. but where I get messed up on is what folder is the correct one to put it in. I have search for 2 days now on here and I have found anything telling me what is the right folder. And I put it in all of my folders to see what it would do and it only comes up in my sound folder. Can someone please help me!!!

its the ringer folder in the windows folder but i would suggest that if you have a memory card put them on the and the just go to phone and opotions and change the ringer form there it easier

it worked thanks, Now can anyone tell me how can i set them for my text msg?? I mean they talk about a wav file how do i make one of them?? because all i have or mp3's on my computer

Ok, I did everything now I would like to know how to set them for when someone text me. I know how to make a wav file now and all that. But after that were do I put them on my phone?? And I have a memory card that I cant use my computer does not have a slot to put it into. And it does not show up when I connect using a usb cable. Can someone Please help me im going crazy over this.

i just found out my self today to set it so that the notifications sounds is what you want all you need to do is drop the sound you want in the windows folder and then go to the sounds and notifications icon under settings and then sounds and notifications icon and find the one you want under the notifications tab and there you go but that is the easy way

I made the registry changes to use my storage card to store my ringtones. I was not able to see the tones when I when into phone options. I then moved the ringtones to \Windows and the ring tones are still not see-able... So what am I do... Also, when I attempt to add a ringtone to a contact, I am still not able to see my added ringtone...

first off you really don't need to edit the reg to use ringtone on your stroage card all they really need to be is on the root of your card and then you go into the option on phone and go to the place below the place where where it saids ring type and open the drop down menu and you mp3 or whatever should be there. also if you don't put the file on the root by it sell like not in a file then you will see them in the ringtone area and if you really want to put them on your phone but i wouldn't if you have a card you can only put them on the root of windows and the ringer folder.

For the person whose mem card doesn't show up - I had to install a driver in order to access my card. I think the driver's built in for 2gig or smaller cards, at least on some 6700's, but some don't have it and all need the driver upgrade for cards larger than 2gig.

Google sdhc.CAB apache. I tried to attach it but it's larger than allowed here.

Hey I know this is off topic to your question but, Are you using this phone with cricket wireless, If so I just want to make sure of something if your phone is flashed from verizon to cricket, And if everything is working such as txt/pic/video messaging, and of course web browsing.
