I have a black originally but somehow I got a red BJII. It does look a bit nicer but is it worth it to keep it? Is anything different on it? I remember somebody said that GPS works better one red models but I dont see how thats possible

Otherwise I guess I can just call warranty exchange and let them send me a black one like I have... but will I like the color? Is the red too girly?

It is a subjective opinion, but it is based on having had first the black and now the red/wine colored model, but I prefer the red one. I found that my red one seems to be a little better built but again, that is just my opinion. I do like the fact that the red has the textured back making it less slippery in the hand and it definitely shows less fingerprints. I'd say keep the red one.

If it was Pink, it'd be too girly.

Keep the Red/Wine one they sent.

I don't think the color matters. But I do read somewhere that late built phones accquire signals faster. However, most of these refurbs are early build (from those early adopters). Mine has a 11/2007 built date.

How do you find the built date, please?

Take out the battery. Check the serial number sticker. The built date on on it in the form of yy.mm. So, mine shows as 07.11.
