V3RE Questions?

.....ok, so i have a friend who happened upon a Motorola RAZR at work in the lost and found thing (after however long, they get to keep whatever's in there), and he couldn't use his own sim in it, so he gave it to me....

so after playing around with it and such, i discovered that it was a V3re model phone, and it's AT&T.....currently, my second phone is a RAZR, but on Centennial Wireless....this one that i was given was brand new, so i figured i'd switch....

so here's my questions.....

1.) is there anyway to unlock this phone at all? after some searching and looking around, i keep seeing people refer to this phone as being difficult to unlock by yourself, so i was wondering if anyone knew any ways to do so....

2.) since noone knows WHO'S phone this is exactly, there's no way to try and get this person to get the unlock code, but is there a way that i could call AT&T, and maybe use another person's info, and just tell them that i got this phone and be able to have them give me an unlock for it?

Let me get this straight, you want to call in to customer service, falsely use someones info to request an unlock code, for the benefit of unlocking a V3_06 (v3re in the US) handset that does NOT belong to yourself? hmm. I don't think this thread desesrves an answer from me.

Nah, I see it as more saving you from getting flamed or possibly banned.

You could actually go online and search for people selling unlock codes for Cingular/ATT phones.
